My name is Dale Melancon. I’m a trained singer, dancer, and actor based out of Manhattan.

I developed a love of music early on. My mother discovered I had an ear for music after I would plunk commercial jingles from TV on the piano by ear from memory. I started piano lessons at a young age, and had a knack for musicality and music theory. I participated in my high school’s choir and loved blending voices in traditional styles.

I wouldn’t discover the joy of live theatre until the summer after my second year at Louisiana State University. I was in the classical music program when a friend suggested I audition for a summer musical. The craft took hold of me and I was hooked. I left LSU in favor of Ball State University, where they made accommodations for me to study musical theatre at an accelerated rate.

I graduated in May of 2017 and have performed at various regional theaters since then. I’ve also performed on several cruise ships doing a handful of variety shows, as well as Broadway-level book musicals.

During my second cruise contract, I met the love of my life, Alyx. She’s in the photo above. We were married on December 17, 2022 and are pursuing our dreams together. I truly believe that with each other, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.
